ধরি, total student = x তাহলে x এর 40% girls = .40% এদের মধ্যে 10% অর্থাৎ . 10 ×.40x girls এবং একইভাবে . 25 ×. 60x boys যার tour এ অর্থাৎ percent of the class signed up
= (. 25×.60x + . 10 ×.40x) /x ×100% = 19%
